Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital in Langley, B.C. is seeking a hospitalist to join our growing practice

Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital is looking for veterinarians to join our practice as hospitalists. Hospitalists will serve the critical functions of overseeing the hospital, providing care for hospitalized patients from every specialty service, and facilitating patient transfers.

Boundary Bay Veterinary Specialty Hospital is a multi-specialty (surgery, internal medicine, oncology, neurology and radiology) hospital located in Langley, B.C. Our hospital offers a full complement of advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment including digital radiography, on-site CT and nearby onsite MRI. In addition to a complete in house lab, a full reference diagnostic lab with clinical and anatomical pathology and microbiology is located in the same complex.

The hospitalist will work closely with the specialists to provide continuity of care of hospitalized patients and to facilitate communication with clients and referring veterinarians. The hospitalist will evaluate, admit, and coordinate transfer to a specialty service those patients who have been referred to the hospital for specialty care or are returning patients. The hospitalist will oversee after-hours hospital operations including overseeing staff (technicians, veterinary assistants, and receptionists), providing updates on hospitalized patients, and facilitating communication with clients and referring veterinarians.
