Some of the specialists and staff from BBVSH traveled to Victoria this weekend to host a Veterinary Seminar for Continuing Education. We would like to thank Elanco for sponsoring the seminar and providing such a delicious lunch for our guests.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting many of the veterinarians from Vancouver Island who refer to us and meeting some new ones as well.
The speakers were as follows…
- Geoffrey Hutchinson, DVM, MS, DACVS and Dr. Sarah Charney, DVM, DACVIM(O), DACVR (RO) discussed ‘SURGICAL ONCOLOGY’
- Dr. Peter Gordon, DVM, DACVIM (N) covered ‘BROKE BACK DACHSHUND – A CLINICAL LOOK AT INTERVERTEBRAL DISC DISEASE’
- Dr. Astrid Nielssen, DVM, MVSc., DACVIM (IM) covered ‘BAD BLOOD: HEMATOLOGY CASE STUDIES’

Nadine (Oncology Liaison), Tara (Surgery Liaison) and Nicole (Policy and Protocol Training Manager) welcomed our veterinary guests as they arrived for the seminar.

Dr. Sarah Charney (Veterinary Oncologist) and Dr. Geoffrey Hutchinson (Veterinary Surgeon) cover the topic ‘Surgical Oncology’.
Leslie (Marketing Coordinator), Tara (Surgery Liaison) and Nicole (Policy and Protocol Training Manager) enjoyed meeting many referring veterinarians from Vancouver Island.

Dr. Peter Gordon (Veterinary Neurologist) covers Intervertebral Disk Disease in Dogs.
Dr. Gordon enjoys the interaction with our guests as he discusses IVDD.
Dr. Astrid Nielssen (Veterinary Internist) reviewed some hematology case studies to our guests.
